Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Cochon Laineux', 1997 by Balthasar Burkhard was sold in the Photographs auction at Sothebys in London in May 2017. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,896.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Balthasar Burkhard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Montagnes (Diptyque, Tirage Positif Et Tirage Négatif) in May 2009 with an auction result of EUR 31,950.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 'Cochon Laineux', 1997 von Balthasar Burkhard wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.896,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Balthasar Burkhard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Montagnes (Diptyque, Tirage Positif Et Tirage Négatif) im Mai 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 31.950,00.
