Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Chameau', 1995 by Balthasar Burkhard was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2017. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,614.05) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Balthasar Burkhard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Montagnes (Diptyque, Tirage Positif Et Tirage Négatif), which sold at auction in May 2009 for EUR 31,950.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 'Chameau', 1995 von Balthasar Burkhard kam im Mai 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.614,05) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Balthasar Burkhard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Montagnes (Diptyque, Tirage Positif Et Tirage Négatif) beobachtet, die im Mai 2009 für EUR 31.950,00 versteigert wurde.
