Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Contemplative by Baltasar Lobo was sold in the 20th Century Art Day Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2021. The price achieved of HKD 1,375,000.00 (€ 155,747.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,200,000.00 – 1,800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Baltasar Lobo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pièce D'Eau, which sold at auction in May 2019 for USD 620,000.00 (€ 556,103.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Contemplative von Baltasar Lobo wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.375.000,00 (€ 155.747,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.200.000,00 – 1.800.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Baltasar Lobo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pièce D'Eau beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für USD 620.000,00 (€ 556.103,69) versteigert wurde.
