Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pomegranate and Birds by Bada Shanren was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 500,000.00 – 1,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 625,000.00 (€ 72,488.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bada Shanren achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Album Of Natore in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 76,910,000.00 (€ 8,889,373.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pomegranate and Birds von Bada Shanren kam im November 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 500.000,00 – 1.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 625.000,00 (€ 72.488,43) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bada Shanren erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Album Of Natore im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 76.910.000,00 (€ 8.889.373,15).
