In May 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Lotus by Bada Shanren. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 437,500.00 (€ 46,247.13), 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bada Shanren achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Album Of Natore in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 76,910,000.00 (€ 8,889,373.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lotus von Bada Shanren zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 46.247,13) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bada Shanren erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Album Of Natore im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 76.910.000,00 (€ 8.889.373,15).
