Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Lotus by Bada Shanren was worth HKD 11,307,000.00 (€ 1,252,342.23) to a buyer in October 2020. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 3,000,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Bada Shanren have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Album Of Natore in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 76,910,000.00 (€ 8,889,373.15).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Lotus von Bada Shanren war einem Käufer im Oktober 2020 HKD 11.307.000,00 (€ 1.252.342,23) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 3.000.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bada Shanren auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Album Of Natore im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 76.910.000,00 (€ 8.889.373,15).
