In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy Including Property from the Chokaido Museum Collection auction, the work Heron And Lotus sold for HKD 6,125,000.00 (€ 701,004.57) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 3,500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bada Shanren achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Album Of Natore in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 76,910,000.00 (€ 8,889,373.15).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Bada Shanren erzielte im Mai 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy Including Property from the Chokaido Museum Collection wurde die Arbeit Heron And Lotus für HKD 6.125.000,00 (€ 701.004,57) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 3.500.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bada Shanren erzielen.
