Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Bird and Rock by Bada Shanren. The price achieved of USD 175,000.00 (€ 160,476.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bada Shanren achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Album Of Natore in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 76,910,000.00 (€ 8,889,373.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bird and Rock von Bada Shanren zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 175.000,00 (€ 160.476,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bada Shanren erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Album Of Natore im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 76.910.000,00 (€ 8.889.373,15).
