Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2005 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Drawings, which included the work Saint Sebastian, with a study of a bearded figure, three-quarter-length by Baccio Bandinelli. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 15,600.00 (€ 11,954.94). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Baccio Bandinelli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Colossal Bust Of An Ancient Hero in July 2009 with an auction result of GBP 657,250.00 (€ 745,781.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2005 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Saint Sebastian, with a study of a bearded figure, three-quarter-length von Baccio Bandinelli zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 15.600,00 (€ 11.954,94) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Baccio Bandinelli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Colossal Bust Of An Ancient Hero im Juli 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 657.250,00 (€ 745.781,74).
