Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pine And Waterfall by Ba Weizu was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. The price achieved of HKD 94,500.00 (€ 10,466.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Other works by Ba Weizu have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2017 the work Calligraphy Couplet In Clerical Script was auctioned for HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,006.18).

Die Arbeit Pine And Waterfall von Ba Weizu wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 94.500,00 (€ 10.466,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Ba Weizu konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2017 die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Clerical Script für HKD 100.000,00 (€ 11.006,18) versteigert.
