This artwork by Umetaro Azechi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in May 2021. In the Japanese Woodblock Prints | Including the Sokolov Collection auction, the work Three woodblock prints and a drawing sold for GBP 1,512.00 (€ 1,759.25) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Umetaro Azechi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Seven woodblock prints sold at auction in May 2021 with the realized price of GBP 3,024.00 (€ 3,518.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 89 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Umetaro Azechi erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Japanese Woodblock Prints | Including the Sokolov Collection wurde die Arbeit Three woodblock prints and a drawing für GBP 1.512,00 (€ 1.759,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00.
