Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ayman Baalbaki achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2018. In the Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work without title sold for GBP 200,000.00 (€ 225,538.30) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 90,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ayman Baalbaki; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Ya’Illahi (Dear Lord) sold at auction in April 2013 with the realized price of USD 377,000.00 (€ 286,300.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ayman Baalbaki erzielte im Oktober 2018 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 200.000,00 (€ 225.538,30) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 90.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ayman Baalbaki; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Ya’Illahi (Dear Lord) im April 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 377.000,00 (€ 286.300,12).
