Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lebanese fighters by Ayman Baalbaki was sold in the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction at Sothebys in London in April 2016. The price achieved of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 76,697.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ayman Baalbaki - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ya’Illahi (Dear Lord), which sold at auction in April 2013 for USD 377,000.00 (€ 286,300.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lebanese fighters von Ayman Baalbaki wurde im April 2016 in der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 76.697,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ayman Baalbaki mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ya’Illahi (Dear Lord) beobachtet, die im April 2013 für USD 377.000,00 (€ 286.300,12) versteigert wurde.
