Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Babel by Ayman Baalbaki was sold in the Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in London in October 2018. The price achieved of GBP 150,000.00 (€ 169,153.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Other works by Ayman Baalbaki have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2013 the work Ya’Illahi (Dear Lord) was auctioned for USD 377,000.00 (€ 286,300.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Babel von Ayman Baalbaki wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 150.000,00 (€ 169.153,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Ayman Baalbaki konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2013 die Arbeit Ya’Illahi (Dear Lord) für USD 377.000,00 (€ 286.300,12) versteigert.
