Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction Important Spring Sale, which included the work "Kväll vid Långviksskär med skarfvar" (Evening at Långviksskär with Cormorants, scene from the Stockholm archipelago) by Axel Sjöberg. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of SEK 25,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of SEK 26,000.00 (€ 2,563.13) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Axel Sjöberg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Solen dalar" (Setting sun) in December 2021 with an auction result of SEK 110,000.00 (€ 10,729.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2021 führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion Important Spring Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit "Kväll vid Långviksskär med skarfvar" (Evening at Långviksskär with Cormorants, scene from the Stockholm archipelago) von Axel Sjöberg zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 25.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von SEK 26.000,00 (€ 2.563,13) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Axel Sjöberg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Solen dalar" (Setting sun) im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 110.000,00 (€ 10.729,81).
