A top price for Axel Geis - as previously expected
This work without title by Axel Geis was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in October 2012. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,541.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, this work without title is the most expensive artwork by Axel Geis that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Axel Geis wurde im Oktober 2012 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 15.541,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist dieses Werk ohne Titel das teuerste Kunstwerk von Axel Geis, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
