Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Spring Sale, which included the work Portrait D'Homme by Avigdor Arikha. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 100.00 – 150.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 104.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Avigdor Arikha achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nude On A Sheet in December 2017 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 135,168.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2018 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Spring Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait D'Homme von Avigdor Arikha zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 100,00 – 150,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 104,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Avigdor Arikha erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nude On A Sheet im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 135.168,86).
