The work Whistleblower by Austin Lee was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2021. It achieved a price of HKD 378,000.00 (€ 40,470.82), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 51%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Austin Lee; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Drowning sold at auction in November 2021 with the realized price of USD 75,600.00 (€ 66,979.71).

Die Arbeit Whistleblower von Austin Lee kam im April 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 378.000,00 (€ 40.470,82) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Austin Lee; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Drowning im November 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 75.600,00 (€ 66.979,71).
