Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Medusa by Aurel Schmidt was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,386.00 (€ 1,628.19) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aurel Schmidt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Body Swallows World in March 2017 with an auction result of USD 17,500.00 (€ 16,358.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Medusa von Aurel Schmidt kam im März 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.386,00 (€ 1.628,19) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aurel Schmidt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Body Swallows World im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 16.358,20).
