The work Cestino con drappeggio by Augusto Murer was sold in the ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA auction at Christies in Milan in May 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 4,340.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Cestino con drappeggio is the most expensive artwork by Augusto Murer that we have observed at auctions so far.
