The work Arlecchino by Augusto Murer was auctioned at Christies in Milan in May 2001. It achieved a price of ITL 2,327,500.00 (€ 2,202.25), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 55%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Augusto Murer; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Cestino con drappeggio sold at auction in May 2002 with the realized price of EUR 4,340.00.

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von ITL 2.327.500,00 (€ 2.202,25) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 55%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Augusto Murer; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Cestino con drappeggio im Mai 2002 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 4.340,00.
