The »bidding war« ended at GBP 597.50 (€ 536.81), 49% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Augusto Daini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Chiacchiere con il frate in December 2001 with an auction result of ITL 3,675,000.00 (€ 3,303.00).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 597,50 (€ 536,81) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Augusto Daini auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Chiacchiere con il frate im Dezember 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von ITL 3.675.000,00 (€ 3.303,00).
