Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Paysage De Montagne by Auguste Louis Veillon was auctioned at Sothebys in Zurich in May 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CHF 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of CHF 5,500.00 (€ 4,508.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Auguste Louis Veillon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Temple at Philae in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,636.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Paysage De Montagne von Auguste Louis Veillon kam im Mai 2014 bei Sothebys in Zürich zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CHF 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CHF 5.500,00 (€ 4.508,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Auguste Louis Veillon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Temple at Philae im Juli 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 33.636,60).
