Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art, which included the work French news From Afar by Auguste Toulmouche. The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,677.50), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Auguste Toulmouche achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vanity in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 88,125.00 (€ 104,228.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit French news From Afar von Auguste Toulmouche zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.677,50) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Auguste Toulmouche erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vanity im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 88.125,00 (€ 104.228,27).
