In September 2007 Christies in London held the auction Nineteenth Century European Art, which included the work An exotic companion by Auguste Toulmouche. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,375.00 (€ 6,273.43), 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Auguste Toulmouche achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vanity in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 88,125.00 (€ 104,228.27).

Im September 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Nineteenth Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit An exotic companion von Auguste Toulmouche zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 6.273,43) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Auguste Toulmouche erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vanity im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 88.125,00 (€ 104.228,27).
