The work Sunset by August Malmström was sold in the Klassiska auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in June 2015. It achieved a price of SEK 22,000.00 (€ 2,376.73), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 47%. Admittedly, works by August Malmström have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "En modern Blenda" in June 2017 with an auction result of SEK 120,000.00 (€ 12,451.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 47 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sunset von August Malmström wurde im Juni 2015 in der Auktion Klassiska bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von SEK 22.000,00 (€ 2.376,73) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 47%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von August Malmström auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "En modern Blenda" im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 120.000,00 (€ 12.451,14).
