Despite a disappointment, a good price for August Malmström
When the work "En modern Blenda" by August Malmström was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in June 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 150,000.00 – 200,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 120,000.00 (€ 12,451.14). Despite this disappointing result, "En modern Blenda" is the most expensive artwork by August Malmström that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für August Malmström
Als die Arbeit "En modern Blenda" von August Malmström im Juni 2017 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 120.000,00 (€ 12.451,14) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist "En modern Blenda" das teuerste Kunstwerk von August Malmström, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
