The work Sunset by August Wilhelm Nikolaus Hagborg was sold in the Important Spring Sale auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in June last year. The »bidding war« ended at SEK 21,000.00 (€ 1,939.73), 40% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by August Wilhelm Nikolaus Hagborg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Fiskebåten välsignas' (The ceremony of blessing of a fishing boat / Bénédiction d'une barque) in December 2021 with an auction result of SEK 230,000.00 (€ 22,435.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sunset von August Wilhelm Nikolaus Hagborg wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Important Spring Sale bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von SEK 21.000,00 (€ 1.939,73) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von August Wilhelm Nikolaus Hagborg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Fiskebåten välsignas' (The ceremony of blessing of a fishing boat / Bénédiction d'une barque) im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 230.000,00 (€ 22.435,06).
