Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Work by Atsuko Tanaka was worth HKD 687,500.00 (€ 78,008.10) to a buyer in March 2019. This price was achieved in the auction First Open | Hong Kong at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Atsuko Tanaka achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Work in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 12,700,000.00 (€ 1,499,054.61).

Die Arbeit Work von Atsuko Tanaka war einem Käufer im März 2019 HKD 687.500,00 (€ 78.008,10) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion First Open | Hong Kong bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Atsuko Tanaka erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Work im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 12.700.000,00 (€ 1.499.054,61).
