Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2011 Christies in Dubai held the auction Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art, which included the work Circumcision by Asli Torcu. It changed hands for a price of USD 8,750.00 (€ 5,903.79) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Other works by Asli Torcu have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2011 the work Cehennem Bahcesi (Hell'S Garden) was auctioned for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,446.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2011 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Circumcision von Asli Torcu zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 5.903,79) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Asli Torcu konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2011 die Arbeit Cehennem Bahcesi (Hell'S Garden) für GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.446,29) versteigert.
