Auction result well in line with expectations
In August last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art Online, which included the work Five metal foil relief (repoussé) panels (i-v): by Asiru Olatunde. The price achieved of GBP 1,402.50 (€ 1,622.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Asiru Olatunde have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Osogbo Panel in August last year with an auction result of GBP 5,737.50 (€ 6,639.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Five metal foil relief (repoussé) panels (i-v): von Asiru Olatunde zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.402,50 (€ 1.622,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Asiru Olatunde auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Osogbo Panel im August letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.737,50 (€ 6.639,31).
