Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Pietà by Arturo Martini was auctioned at Il Ponte in December 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,600.00 – 1,800.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arturo Martini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Pisana - Ii Versione in May 2008 with an auction result of EUR 264,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Pietà von Arturo Martini im Dezember 2013 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.600,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.500,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arturo Martini erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Pisana - Ii Versione im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 264.250,00.
