In October 2008 Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art and Orientalist Art, which included the work Kabyle au retour de la chasse by Arthur Waagen. The result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,827.79) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Other works by Arthur Waagen have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2009 the work German "Couple Algerien", A Pair Of Bronze Figural Reliefs was auctioned for USD 28,750.00 (€ 21,680.11).
