Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2003 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work The St Vincent off the Semaphore by Arthur Victor Gregory. The price achieved of AUD 2,350.00 (€ 1,417.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Other works by Arthur Victor Gregory have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2006 the work The Ss "Rotomahana" Crossing, Bass Strait was auctioned for AUD 4,182.50 (€ 2,515.66).
