Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The docks by Arthur Vidal Diehl was sold in the Maritime auction at Christies in New York in July 2004. The price achieved of USD 4,541.00 (€ 3,774.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Vidal Diehl - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Cosmic Salvation), which sold at auction in January this year for USD 8,925.00 (€ 8,219.75).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.541,00 (€ 3.774,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Vidal Diehl mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Cosmic Salvation) beobachtet, die im Januar diesen Jahres für USD 8.925,00 (€ 8.219,75) versteigert wurde.
