Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2003 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART, which included the work Amazone by Arthur Spronken. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 8,365.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Spronken - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Reclining nude, which sold at auction in November 2005 for EUR 30,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2003 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Amazone von Arthur Spronken zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 8.365,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Spronken mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Reclining nude beobachtet, die im November 2005 für EUR 30.000,00 versteigert wurde.
