The work Amazone by Arthur Spronken was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2013. It achieved a price of EUR 12,500.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 39 %. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Spronken - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Reclining nude, which sold at auction in November 2005 for EUR 30,000.00.

Die Arbeit Amazone von Arthur Spronken kam im Dezember 2013 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 12.500,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Spronken mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Reclining nude beobachtet, die im November 2005 für EUR 30.000,00 versteigert wurde.
