It achieved a price of USD 23,750.00 (€ 17,123.29), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 58%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Arthur Quartley; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Morning, Marblehead, Massachusetts sold at auction in March 2005 with the realized price of USD 38,400.00 (€ 29,609.07).
