Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Morning Off Marblehead by Arthur Quartley for USD 2,400.00 (€ 1,977.10). This price was achieved in the auction The House Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Quartley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Morning, Marblehead, Massachusetts in March 2005 with an auction result of USD 38,400.00 (€ 29,609.07).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Morning Off Marblehead von Arthur Quartley für USD 2.400,00 (€ 1.977,10) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The House Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Quartley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Morning, Marblehead, Massachusetts im März 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 38.400,00 (€ 29.609,07).
