This artwork by Arthur Lismer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Toronto in June 2010. In the Important Canadian Art auction, the work Mcgregor Bay, Georgian Bay sold for CAD 324,500.00 (€ 248,912.70) - well above the upper estimate of CAD 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Lismer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bon Echo Rock, which sold at auction in June 2010 for CAD 778,750.00 (€ 597,352.13).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Arthur Lismer erzielte im Juni 2010 bei Sothebys in Toronto einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Canadian Art wurde die Arbeit Mcgregor Bay, Georgian Bay für CAD 324.500,00 (€ 248.912,70) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von CAD 180.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Lismer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bon Echo Rock beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für CAD 778.750,00 (€ 597.352,13) versteigert wurde.
