Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2009 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Georgian Bay - Ont. '63 by Arthur Lismer. The price achieved of CAD 48,000.00 (€ 32,014.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Lismer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bon Echo Rock in June 2010 with an auction result of CAD 778,750.00 (€ 597,352.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2009 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Georgian Bay - Ont. '63 von Arthur Lismer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CAD 48.000,00 (€ 32.014,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CAD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Lismer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bon Echo Rock im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 778.750,00 (€ 597.352,13).
