In November 2012 Christies in London held the auction Maritime Art, which included the work Unloading the catch onto the beach at Scheveningen at sunset by Arthur Joseph Meadows. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,309.81), 56% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur Joseph Meadows achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Ducal Palace, Venice in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 16,730.00 (€ 25,877.52).

Im November 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Maritime Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Unloading the catch onto the beach at Scheveningen at sunset von Arthur Joseph Meadows zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.309,81) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur Joseph Meadows erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Ducal Palace, Venice im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.730,00 (€ 25.877,52).
