Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Home At Last by Arthur John Elsley for USD 56,250.00 (€ 47,276.85). This price was achieved in the auction European Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arthur John Elsley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Golden Hours in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 831,000.00 (€ 979,259.96).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Home At Last von Arthur John Elsley für USD 56.250,00 (€ 47.276,85) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion European Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arthur John Elsley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Golden Hours im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 831.000,00 (€ 979.259,96).
