In the British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures including Pictures auction, the work Night, Loch Dhu and the Sligachan Valley sold for GBP 1,410.00 (€ 2,304.98) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Gilbert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The road up Snowdon, North Wales; and Loch Maree, Scotland, which sold at auction in March 2004 for GBP 5,736.00 (€ 8,586.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Arthur Gilbert erzielte im März 2002 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures including Pictures wurde die Arbeit Night, Loch Dhu and the Sligachan Valley für GBP 1.410,00 (€ 2.304,98) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00.
