In the BRITISH & CONTINENTAL WATERCOLOURS,DRAWINGS & ILLUSTRATIONS auction, the work A Shepherd And His Flock Before Bamborough Castle sold for GBP 1,527.50 (€ 2,537.48) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Arthur Gerald Ackermann; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Blakeney Regatta; and High water - Overy Staithe sold at auction in May 2004 with the realized price of GBP 2,031.50 (€ 3,048.00).
