Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2007 Christies in London held the auction The Lyndon Goodwin Harris Collection of Watercolours by Albert Goodwin, Joseph Edward Southall & Other Artists, which included the work Figures on a sunlit Mediterranean street by Arthur Gerald Ackermann. It changed hands for a price of GBP 780.00 (€ 1,176.84) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Gerald Ackermann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blakeney Regatta; and High water - Overy Staithe, which sold at auction in May 2004 for GBP 2,031.50 (€ 3,048.00).

Im Januar 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Lyndon Goodwin Harris Collection of Watercolours by Albert Goodwin, Joseph Edward Southall & Other Artists durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figures on a sunlit Mediterranean street von Arthur Gerald Ackermann zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 780,00 (€ 1.176,84) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Gerald Ackermann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blakeney Regatta; and High water - Overy Staithe beobachtet, die im Mai 2004 für GBP 2.031,50 (€ 3.048,00) versteigert wurde.
