Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Endless Watch, U.S.S. Idaho by Arthur Edwaine Beaumont was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,912.50 (€ 1,852.66). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Edwaine Beaumont - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bunkering, which sold at auction in August 2018 for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,928.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The Endless Watch, U.S.S. Idaho von Arthur Edwaine Beaumont im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 1.912,50 (€ 1.852,66) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Edwaine Beaumont mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bunkering beobachtet, die im August 2018 für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.928,77) versteigert wurde.
