Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work Boats in the Fog by Arthur Dominique Rozaire. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,462.50 (€ 3,953.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Dominique Rozaire - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Sap Buckets, Canada, which sold at auction in April last year for USD 8,925.00 (€ 8,470.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Boats in the Fog von Arthur Dominique Rozaire zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.462,50 (€ 3.953,66) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Dominique Rozaire mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red Sap Buckets, Canada beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für USD 8.925,00 (€ 8.470,15) versteigert wurde.
