Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Floral Still Life by Arthur Chaplin was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2020. The price achieved of USD 94,500.00 (€ 81,136.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Other works by Arthur Chaplin have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2007 the work French Floral Still Life was auctioned for USD 180,000.00 (€ 131,771.60).

Die Arbeit Floral Still Life von Arthur Chaplin wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 94.500,00 (€ 81.136,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden.
