Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of André Kertész in his office by Arnold Newman was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in August last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,805.00 (€ 2,786.89) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Arnold Newman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Igor Stravinsky, New York City. in December 2021 with an auction result of EUR 16,250.00.

Die Arbeit Portrait of André Kertész in his office von Arnold Newman kam im August letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 2.805,00 (€ 2.786,89) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Arnold Newman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Igor Stravinsky, New York City. im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 16.250,00.
